With twenty-six years of teaching experience, Melissa Sigh fosters student growth and joy through music-making, personal connection, and insightful support. Melissa is a creative and engaging music educator with experience in diverse music education settings. With a new teaching studio in HPP, Melissa is thrilled to open her doors to new students seeking private and small group music lessons.

Melissa moved to Hawai’i Island in 2022 for the opportunity to teach outdoors year round. She continues to Zoom with her mainland students during the hours that her children are in school in Hawai’i. She also teaches part time at their school, Malamalama Waldorf.

Melissa holds a master’s degree in music education from Michigan State University. Her certifications in Music Learning Theory specialize in early childhood music education. She has served as a music teacher in Michigan’s public schools for sixteen years and taught private lessons for 26 years.
